Shiatsu Society of Ontario
Shiatsu Teacher Designation
1. Candidates will submit a letter of endorsement
from:
TWO teachers who are familiar with the candidate's teaching work.
The letters should state how long the writer
has known the candidate, in what capacity, and their reasons for endorsing
the candidate;
2. Candidates will submit a detailed curriculum,
which should be comparable to that stated on the SSO website;
3. Candidates will submit a one-page description of the type of shiatsu
they practice and teach;
4. Candidates will submit a one-page statement of their level of expertise
and knowledge that is above and beyond that of a practitioner;
5. Candidates will submit a résumé.
Once these written requirements have
been submitted:
6. Candidates will arrange for two members of the Board to observe them
teaching a class;
7. Candidates will attend for an interview.
8. There will be a non-refundable application fee of $200 due with the
written submission.
